From the moment I met Kayla I knew she was an absolute sweetheart! She not only is a teacher but she has been teaching dance for quite some time! Patience is the first word that comes to my mind 😉 As high school sweethearts and years of dating through college Dan surprised Kayla with a marriage proposal in front of all their family and friends!
So as alumni from Penn State Behrend we knew that heading to the college campus was going to be one of the locations used for their engagement session. The second location we chose was the Erie Art Museum. White marble stairs and plenty of light makes this a very classy location! Our game plan was to start at the Art Museum then head to Behrend after that. But like all plans we switched to plan B once we arrived at the Art Museum. There were 2 wedding parties already being photographed at the same time!! Yikes! And I was not about to get in the way of fellow photographers working on a wedding day!
So as we walked around Penn State’s campus I was able to get to know Kayla and Dans relationship a little more. This was and is one of my favorite parts of an engagement session. Without the stress of the wedding day and the encouragement of my couples to just be themselves I can really get a good idea of their relationship, their comfort levels and of course sense of humor!
