On a cold snowy January day, Catherine and Jeff made the treck to Meadville to meet me. And as we sat in my office, both of my dogs in their laps I couldn’t wait to know if they would choose me as their wedding photographer!
And guess what? They did! Catherine and Jeff had engagement photos already planned with a friend. But we had discussed the benefits of working together before the big wedding day. So we decided to wait out Mother Nature for some greenery and schedule their engagement session then at Presque Isle on Lake Erie. It amazes me how much Erie changes in the month of May. From no leaves to trees full of leaves and weeds almost waist high. One week trees are in full bloom, the next you can’t even tell there was a flower.
Of course, I was excited when Catherine asked if it was ok to bring their dog, Sonny! We decided that photographing him first would be the easiest and then Catherine’s dad would take him home so Sonny could run and play with his dog. We followed the great light on the beach to a nature trail with white blooming trees. And ended our session with that just before sunset glow. I couldn’t ask for a better evening with great people!
